70% of US Households Search the Internet for Local Products and Services

The numbers are just too big to ignore. If this doesn't get you moving nothing will.

"The Kelsey Group and ConStat, have found that 70 percent of U.S. households use the internet to shop for local products and services, a 16 percent increase since October 2003.

Analysts at The Kelsey Group say that the Internet is now on par with newspapers as a local shopping information resource and will likely surpass the impact of print media in the near future."

If you don't have a strategy for prospects to find you on the Internet, you are going to be road kill in the very near future. An Internet presence starts with a web site. Then you need to make sure you show up in searches on the major search engines and do other business promotion activities in cyberspace to make sure you are noticed.

It won't be so over whelming if you do local Internet marketing in bits and with increasing sophistication as your knowledge grows.
